Where is the profit in believing a lie?

Tuesday, Nov 24, 2009

It almost seems as if half of the people in our country are suffering from a mental illness, in which delusional behavior rules the day. It must be what Limbaugh meant when he coined the phrase, “liberalism is a mental disorder.” But it’s still pretty unnerving to except the fact that so many arround us are more willing to believe in a lie rather than an obvious truth.

All of the reputable polls on the Democrat Health Care Bills are showing 51% against, 34% for and 15% undecided; but, no matter where you turn, there is someone telling you how the majority of Americans want government run health care. The really appalling thing about this is that it doesn’t come at you solely from uninformed people, it is even shoved down our throats by people from the press, net work news, cable news, and most of all, our President and Congress men and women who know damned well what the truth is.

This phenomenon was true with the first bail out, the second bail out, cash for clunkers, and etc. Sarah Palin’s popularity is debunked, even in the face of her massive book sales and the tens of thousands of people who turn out at her book signings. She is dismissed as being insignificant on a daily basis.

I can understand (to some extent) the dishonesty from the Democrats and the MSM; but, I’m at a loss to understand what makes an average, working , American deny what is right in front of their face. The only thing that could even come close to explaining this mindset is: These deniers of truth are so immature that they refuse to lose an argument no matter how much evidence there is stacked against them.

Whether this is a psychological disorder or the planned agenda of those on the left (all the way down to the liberal voters), it is a disease that has consumed nearly half of our society; and , I am very afraid for my children and grandchildren.

Now, we have conclusive proof that the eco-terrorists have withheld information that disproves their entire claim of man made global warming. And, the denying has already started… again.
